I have been really busy working on a lot of different things…everything, it seems, except for this blog! So, I finally decided to make it a simple blog with pictures like I did in 2007. I will spend the next couple of weeks figuring out the intracacies of getting a workflow down so that I can take a lot of pictures, write a lot of posts, but not have it take up half of my vacation!

For those of you at my work, it blocks smugmug.com, which is where I will store most of my pictures. But, I will include enough pictures on this blog to hopefully keep it interesting. In fact, my work blocks all blogs that they know about, but hopefully you’ll be able to follow my humble adventures in China.

This time, I will be visiting several people who I either know, or are close relatives of my friends here in Tallahassee, Florida. I am looking forward to seeing all the wonderful people, eating the wonderful food and talking with anyone who decides to post a comment to the blog.

For the posts before I go, I will put a picture from my 2007 journey alongside them. As you can probably tell, this Wordpress theme is picture centric with a blog on the side. As I’m going to take my Nikon D-90 and a tripod this time, I hope to be able to take some cool pix. Time will tell. I will start writing about where I’m going and will try to get in the habit of doing a post daily. Come back soon!
